Cancellation Policy

At LaRoma Yachts, we understand that plans can change. Below is our cancellation policy, designed to be fair to both our guests and our crew, who begin preparing for your charter well in advance.

Standard Cancellations

Outside 14 days of departure (standard season): Cancellations made with sufficient notice are eligible for a full or prorated refund, less any non-recoverable provisioning or preparation costs already incurred.

Within 14 days of departure (standard season): Cancellations made less than 14 days before departure are subject to a 25% cancellation fee, unless we are able to re-book the yacht for the same dates — in which case a full or prorated refund will be issued.

High Season & Holidays: Because demand is highest during peak season and holidays, a different notice window applies:

  • Cancellations made 30 days or more before departure follow our standard refund terms above.
  • Cancellations made less than 30 days before departure are subject to a 50% cancellation fee. The remaining balance is refundable only if the yacht is successfully re-booked for those dates.

If LaRoma Yachts must cancel: In the rare event that we need to cancel your charter, you will receive a 100% refund of all funds paid.

Weather & Safety Cancellations

Your safety is always our first priority. If a charter must be cancelled or cut short due to weather, sea conditions, or any other circumstance that could put passengers or the vessel at risk — including force majeure or other unforeseeable events — you will have the choice of:

  • Rescheduling to a new date, or
  • Receiving a full refund

No fees or penalties apply in these situations.

Pandemic-Related Cancellations

If your charter is impacted by travel restrictions related to a pandemic (such as COVID-19), you may choose to:

  • Receive a full refund, or
  • Reschedule your charter with no expiration date and no rescheduling fee

Since final balances are typically due only 24 hours before departure, most pandemic-related cancellations occur before that payment is made. In the event a final balance has already been paid, it is fully refundable under these circumstances as well.
